Short-term Rental Case Studies

Villa Cool Serenity presented a significant full-scale design challenge. The home was vacant and not generating income, and the owners needed it transformed into a profitable short-term rental without replacing major structural elements. This project required extensive coordination, including electrical updates, lighting improvements, AC servicing, gas and plumbing considerations, and exterior enhancements. In addition to the full interior design and décor plan, I managed sourcing, shipping logistics from St. Thomas and Miami, furniture refurbishment, and on-site contractor collaboration. The result is a bright, welcoming, guest-ready villa that now performs exceptionally well as a high-demand Airbnb.

I created a coastal, beach-inspired design to reflect the home’s proximity to Crocus Bay. The goal was to make the home feel bright, airy, and comfortable — a true “home away from home.” To stay within budget, I repurposed pieces from the clients’ main home, including their sectional and dining set, which were refurbished and restyled for the space. 

Villa Island Escape required a complete reimagining of both the layout and the interior design. Originally a two-bedroom condo with an open den and four bathrooms, the space lacked privacy, flow, and functionality for short-term rental use. I led a full redesign that included reconfiguring the floor plan, creating a true third bedroom, expanding the bathrooms, and transforming the property into a flexible rental that works as a full three-suite villa or individual private units. The project involved structural updates, new flooring, ceiling adjustments, lighting plans, fully renovated bathrooms and kitchen, outdoor courtyard transformations, and an entirely new furnishing and styling concept. The result is a modern Caribbean coastal retreat that offers privacy, comfort, and resort-level amenities for families and groups.

I envisioned a Caribbean Modern Coastal aesthetic — bright, fresh, and relaxing. The goal was to create a boutique-style retreat with clean lines, modern finishes, and thoughtful touches that support group and family stays.
